All: O Water,
1: Living water!
2: Let me dance in the sprinkles of your anointing
3: and the showers of your blessings!
1: Send the thunderstorm of your love and let it rain!
2: pouring healing, cleansing
3: and power into my soul.
2: Let your floods rise and sweep my shaky feet off the loose sand of my will,
1: into the trustworthy current of your peace.
3: May your flowing river renew my mind
2: and guide me safely through the meanders of this life.
All: O Water! … Living Water!
1: Take me to the sea of New Beginnings.
2: Let me swim in forgiveness and freedom,
3: Strengthened with every stroke,
1: filled with each breath.
2: As I tread in comfort, released from my fears that were drowned in faith,
3: I surrender to your tides of healing and refreshing,
2: as your waves remove the stains of my former choices.
All: Saturate this being,
1: taking control of the inner
2: and hidden parts,
3: floating in the ebb and flow of your presence.
All: O Water!… Living Water!
3: Wash me unto the shore of each day,
1: Soaked in your mercy and grace,
2: Drenched in your joy and salvation.
3: Let me stand…
2: Revived…
1: Ready…All: And Transformed!!
Monologue Version
(This is a poem that could be done as a monologue. Its a prayer/request based on the scripture of John 4:10)
O Water,
Living water!
Let me dance in the sprinkles
of your anointing
and the showers of your blessings!
Send the thunderstorm of your love
and let it rain!
pouring healing, cleansing
and power into my soul.
Let your floods rise
and sweep my shaky feet
off the loose sand of my will,
into the trustworthy current of your peace.
May your flowing river
renew my mind
and guide me safely through
the meanders of this life.
O Water!
Take me to the sea
of New Beginnings.
Let me swim in forgiveness and freedom,
Strengthened with every stroke,
filled with each breath.
As I tread in comfort,
released from my fears
that were drowned in faith,
I surrender to your tides
of healing and refreshing,
as your waves remove the stains
of my former choices.
Saturate this being,
taking control of the inner
and hidden parts,
floating in the ebb and flow
of your presence.
O Water!
Wash me unto the shore of each day,
Soaked in your mercy and grace,
Drenched in your joy and salvation.
Let me stand…
Revived…
Ready…
And Transformed!!
